DUTIES
This 1-year Limited Term Contract in the Department of Communication and Visual Arts will focus on journalistic and professional communication content production and design. The LTC will have the versatility to teach across the applied contexts of the Communication program. The LTC will have expertise or experience in content production and storytelling through the digital environment, including Social Media, Digital Strategy/Content production, and campaign development.
The LTC will be a committed and passionate teacher and have evidence of effective teaching or evidence of potential to be an outstanding teacher committed to scholarly teaching. We offer a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Digital Journalism, and this position fosters teaching and practice within the synergies of these fields. This position offers a wide range of opportunities to engage in scholarly teaching and mentorship activities outside of the classroom. The LTC position teaches eight undergraduate courses during the academic year.The LTC will engage in active service work to support and sustain our rich programming, and to contribute to the collegiality of the department, division, and institution. The LTC will be expected to work collaboratively with faculty to design and deliver programming.
QUALIFICATIONS
A PhD in Communication, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master's degree in a related field with significant and related professional experience (minimum 10 years) may be considered.
Pay Band
$73,665.93 - $114,124.39 ( According to TRUFA Salary Schedule (Range TS01 - TS12) )
