A regional health provider in Oshawa, Ontario is seeking an Assistant Chef to prepare and organize meals for long term care residents. Ideal candidates will have a Culinary Management Diploma or equivalent, a valid Food Handler Certificate, and 2 years of cooking experience. Responsibilities include maintaining food safety standards, following established menus, and ensuring a safe kitchen environment. The hourly salary ranges from $30.05 to $31.15, with additional conditions for employment.

This position is located at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa, Ontario.
The hourly rate range for this position is $30.05 to $31.15.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within two (2) months from date of hire. Additionally, tuberculosis screening will be required in accordance with the FLTC Act (O.Reg. 246/22). Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will also be collected. Finally, compliance with the Mask Fit Testing Program is required and will be coordinated as part of the orientation process.
