Job description

A leading multi-disciplinary design firm is looking to add a Contract Administrator to their team. This collaborative group brings together architects, designers, engineers, planners, and sustainability specialists to deliver projects that focus on community wellbeing and urban vibrancy. They’re recognized nationally for their innovative, people-first approach and commitment to environmentally responsible design.

Location - Hybrid. Office is Centertown West. Please note that travel is required to project sites within the NCR
Salary - $85,000 - $98,000

The Role

As a Contract Administrator, you’ll play a key role in project delivery, including:

  • Leading small to medium projects with minimal supervision, managing scope, consultants, and coordination.
  • Preparing design and contract documents.
  • Coordinating drawings across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Conducting site reviews to ensure compliance with construction documents.
  • Liaising with contractors, clients, and stakeholders during construction.
  • Preparing and managing change documents (CD/PCN/CO).
  • Monitoring contract progress and resolving design/technical issues with senior support.
  • Completing field reviews to maintain design intent.

What You Bring

  • Degree/diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Contract Administration in the AEC industry.
  • Hands-on experience with field reviews, RFIs, submittals, and contract change management.
  • Strong knowledge of building technologies, codes, and legislation (e.g., Building Code, Lien Legislation).
  • Skilled in Revit, BIM 360, and preparation of construction documents.
  • Ability to travel to site regularly and obtain Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance.

Assets (nice-to-have):

  • LEED certification.
  • Familiarity with contract forms (CCDC 5A/5B) and contractor software (Procore, Prolog, Fieldwire, etc.).
  • Microsoft Office, Power BI.
  • Experience with DP/BP submissions and responding to Authority comments.
  • Bilingual (English/French).
