Responsibilities
  • Adjust designs to conform to limiting factors such as budget allocation and cost of materials
  • Award construction contracts to building contractors
  • Consult with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction
  • Generate building plans and detailed drawings for contractors and tradespersons
  • Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects
  • Negotiate contracts with clients focusing on design, construction time, price or other factors
  • Participate in contract negotiations
  • Prepare documents showing structural needs and materials required for construction
