Apprentice Carpenter

Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry for formwork on the project
- Adherence to project specifications, code and corporate safety requirements on all sites
- Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun
- Experience or willingness to be trained on equipment operation is an asset
- Other tasks as required by the site foreman
Requirements
- 3+ years of carpentry experience
- Concrete and formwork experience an asset
- Good verbal communication skills
- Candidate must have excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Exceptional analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
Tools Required
- Tape Measure 25 ft, metric and imperial (dual scale)
- Speed Square standard aluminum or heavy-duty plastic
- Chalk Line chalk provided by Firma
- Carpenter’s Pencils and Permanent Markers 1 full set
- String Line minimum one roll
- Level 6 inch to 12 inch
- small folding Handsaw
- Utility Knife
- Hammer any size or style (16 oz to 22 oz typical)
- Small Sledge Hammer – optional
- Cat’s Paw
- Multi-Bit Screwdriver
- Adjustable / Thumb / Crescent Wrench – 8" to 10"
- Channel-Lock Pliers
- Rebar Tying Pliers (Kleins or Unicorn)
- Extra Belt with single Pouch
- Carpenter’s Pouch minimum six compartments required
- Framing Square mandatory for Journeyman Carpenters
Additional Gear Required
- Rechargeable Headlamp required; lighting is provided, but workers may need personal lighting for tight or dark areas.
- Batteries or charging cables will not be provided by Firma.
- Rain Gear / Winter Gear must be supplied by the worker.
- Steel-Toe Boots required for all workers.
- Rubber Boots required for all workers during concrete pours
