Your area of focus.

The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing oil changes, tire services, and complete multi-point inspections, presenting findings to the Service Advisor. They conduct diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including brakes, engines, and electrical components, using computerized tools to isolate faults. Candidates should have experience in oil changes and tire services, along with basic computer skills and shop experience. A valid Ontario driver's license and the ability to meet physical demands are also required.

What drives your day-to-day?
  • Perform oil & filter change
  • Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
  • Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicles. Mark required items on list & present findings to Service Advisor
  • Mount/balance/rotate/repair tires & add air as needed
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, & maintenance
  • Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, & other items
  • Inspect motors in operation, road test, & test systems & components using computerized diagnostics & other devices to diagnose & isolate faults
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts & components including fuel system, brakes, steering & suspension, engine & drive train, emission control & exhaust, cooling & climate control, & electrical & electronic systems
What are the must-haves…
  • 2nd Level Apprentice experience
  • Oil change & tire experience is an asset
  • Basic computer skills
  • Shop / dealership experience preferred
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and ability to use power and hand‑held equipment
  • Must possess a valid Canadian Driver's license and a safe driving history
