The Application Manager is responsible for the strategy, administration, and optimization of enterprise applications, primarily Oracle Fusion ERP and integrated business systems (ERP, CRM, POS, LMS). The role ensures application stability, data integrity, and user satisfaction while driving enhancements, integrations, and governance. The manager champions AI-driven solutions, intelligent automation, and other emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and compliance. They lead a team focused on application support, master data management, and technical troubleshooting to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements (SOC 2, PCI DSS, PIPEDA, NIST CSF).

This teammate will be responsible for -

  • Lead and mentor direct reports; set objectives, coach performance, and support career development.
  • Build a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, service excellence, and data integrity.
  • Own the lifecycle of enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, WMS, POS), including upgrades, patches, configurations, and integrations.
  • Establish robust change, release, and incident management aligned to ITIL and ISO 27001 practices.
  • Maintain application roadmaps, architecture diagrams, and configuration baselines; ensure up-to-date documentation.
  • Lead management of SaaS and cloud-hosted applications (Oracle Cloud, Azure, POS), including licensing, tenancy, environments, and platform governance.
  • Oversee integration strategy using iPaaS/middleware and API management, ensuring secure, reliable data flow across systems.
  • Oversee master data governance: standards, stewardship, data quality monitoring, and reference data management.
  • Partner with Data teams to enable analytics and BI (e.g., Power BI), ensuring reliable semantic models and data pipelines from source applications.
  • Define data retention, lineage, and cataloging practices in line with PIPEDA and organizational policy.
  • Identify and deliver use cases for AI/ML (e.g., anomaly detection, forecasting, AI copilots), embedded in enterprise applications.
  • Drive adoption of intelligent automation (e.g., Power Automate) to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies (e.g., IoT for operational insights) where they demonstrably improve business outcomes.
  • Establish Responsible AI governance (e.g., model risk management, bias testing, human-in-the-loop controls, documentation) aligned to privacy and ethical standards.
  • Lead risk assessments; ensure application controls meet SOC 2, PCI DSS, PIPEDA, and align to NIST CSF.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity to implement secure-by-design patterns (least privilege, encryption, key management, audit logging).
  • Define and enforce segregation of duties (SoD) and access reviews; support internal/external audits with timely evidence.
  • Develop and execute organizational change management plans (communication, training, adoption metrics) for major releases and AI/automation initiatives.
  • Create end-user enablement assets (playbooks, knowledge base articles, quick-start guides) to improve utilization and satisfaction.
  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and support agreements; drive cost optimization and value realization.
  • Lead RFPs, proofs-of-concept, and technology evaluations; ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Ensure application availability, performance, and SLA compliance; proactively monitor and remediate issues.
  • Produce regular reports on application performance, defect trends, data quality metrics, audit/compliance status, and AI/automation outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs for application support, data governance, and platform reliability

What Experience & Knowledge the teammate will bring –

  • 7+ years of experience in application management or enterprise systems, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and related business processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations).
  • Experience with master data management principles and tools; proven data quality stewardship.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management; experience with change/release and incident/problem management
  • Hands-on experience delivering AI-driven solutions and RPA/automation in enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of data governance, predictive analytics, and ML concepts as applied to business systems.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, PIPEDA, NIST CSF) and SoD/access control practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
  • Experience with cloud/SaaS application management and integration patterns (APIs, iPaaS/middleware).
