Overview

Parsons is seeking a Water & Wastewater Team Lead to join our Alberta team. In this role, you will lead a group of talented professionals in delivering innovative and high-quality solutions for municipal, regional, and provincial clients. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff in the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects.
  • Oversee the design, planning, and execution of water and wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, budgets, and schedules to meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Ensure technical excellence and quality assurance across all project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Represent Parsons in public meetings, regulatory discussions, and client negotiations.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta or eligible for registration within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
  • Strong technical expertise in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Familiarity with Alberta municipal and provincial standards, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with business development and client relationship management is an asset.
