AIRCRAFT ASSET MANAGER

Are you a licensed AME leader ready to transition your technical expertise into high-stakes financial and contractual asset oversight? A highly specialized leader in the global aviation sector is seeking an Aircraft Asset Manager to take full ownership of their valuable fleet assets. This is a crucial role for a detail-oriented professional who can expertly navigate the complex intersection of aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, and high-value lease agreements. The successful candidate will oversee the technical and financial aspects of aircraft maintenance projects while ensuring all work scopes and documentation meet regulatory and lease requirements. You will provide expert support on aircraft leases, returns, deliveries, and transitions, including audits, reserve claims, and customer technical inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Oversight: Provide technical and financial supervision of maintenance projects at MRO facilities (internal and external).
  • Work Scope Approval: Validate and approve scopes of work for component overhaul or exchange.
  • Lease Preparation: Collaborate on developing work-scopes for aircraft return-to-service and lease delivery requirements (with records audit).
  • Technical Leasing Support: Offer technical expertise for managing leased aircraft, including contractual decisions for returns, deliveries, repossessions, and purchases.
  • Cost Input: Provide estimations for costs related to lease return and lease delivery scope of work.
  • Customer Liaison: Coordinate with customers on the technical and contractual aspects of leased aircraft.
  • Reserve Claims: Evaluate and approve work eligible for maintenance reserve claims.
  • Advisory Services: Provide technical advice supporting aircraft leasing, purchasing, and sales transactions.
  • Auditing: Conduct on-site technical audits at Lessee facilities.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Interface with requisite regulatory authorities as required.
  • Transition Assistance: Assist the marketing and operations departments during aircraft transitions.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
  • Certification: Must hold a valid AME M2 or AME-E license, demonstrating proven experience on Dash 8 (all variants), CRJ (all variants), or 737 (Classic and Next Generation) aircraft.
  • Senior Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of professional background in a senior or lead maintenance capacity.
  • Management History: Prior work history in a comparable aviation maintenance management position.
  • Acquisition Knowledge: Comprehensive grasp of aircraft acquisition procedures and the regulations surrounding import/export activities.
  • Records Compliance: Excellent understanding of the regulatory framework for aircraft record-keeping and documentation.
  • Work Style: Must be resourceful, handle competing priorities effectively through multi-tasking, and integrate smoothly into an international, multi-cultural setting.
  • Detail Orientation: Displays exceptional precision and thoroughness in all work.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of maintenance tracking software (such as CAMP, Traxxall) and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Travel: Must have the ability to travel when required.
