We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Data Science & ML Engineering to work on an expanding set of Managed Data Science and Agentic AI Services across multiple industries.
You will help industry clients navigate the complex world of modern data science and AI, providing a business-focused perspective on how data science and AI can transform their organization. This is a high-growth, high-visibility area with opportunities to enhance your skillset and career.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and prioritize use cases across value chains and industries, leveraging AI and machine learning techniques
- Build, validate, deploy, and monitor advanced descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics solutions
- Coach the data engineer and data science team to deliver services and develop solutions with a business mindset
- Collaborate with clients to understand needs and guide them toward AI/ML solutions delivering short-term wins and long-term opportunities for managed data science services
- Develop and implement roadmaps for AI/ML products with a team of data scientists, data engineers, and product owners
- Build, validate, deploy, monitor, and provide MLOps support for AI/ML models and services for internal POCs and client production initiatives
- Utilize commercial and open-source AI/ML, Big Data, BI, visualization, and discovery tools to deliver models and solutions (tools may include SAS, R, Python, Scala, Java, Spark, notebooks/workbenches, Azure ML, Tableau, Datameer, etc.)
- Guide clients in selecting Generative AI models and related services
- Assist with AI governance topics (e.g., data residency, PII handling)
- Monitor and tune model performance; manage champion/challenger models for optimal performance and resource use
- Ensure models are packaged and documented for deployment; participate in client training and knowledge transfer
- Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and data governance requirements per EY and client guidelines, including data anonymization and encryption
- Leverage CI/CD and DevOps practices to deliver and support advanced data science and big data solutions (e.g., Git, Jira, Jenkins)
Qualifications
- Masters degree in AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying end-to-end data science and analytics solutions with business acumen
- Proficiency with the predictive modeling lifecycle, feature engineering, model development and tuning, validation, packaging, deployment, and performance monitoring
- Data Scientist certification, with Hadoop, Spark or equivalent production experience
- Experience with open-source AI/ML/Data Science tools (R, Python, Spark); experience with notebooks (Zeppelin, Jupyter) and data science workbenches (Azure, DSX)
- Experience with Spark-based ML (Spark SQL, MLlib, GraphX)
- Experience with Agentic AI solution deployments
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Data Science/AI certification on major platforms
- Experience with deep learning on CPUs/GPUs (ANN, CNN, RNN) with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, MXNet or equivalent

- Salary range for this job in British Columbia: $85,000 to $120,000; individual salaries determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and location
