A leading innovation foundation in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Financial Monitoring Officer to lead financial oversight activities concerning the management of funds received by various institutions. The role necessitates a university degree in commerce or finance and minimum three years of related experience, emphasizing bilingual skills in English and French. This full-time position operates in a hybrid environment, offering competitive compensation, benefits, and additional paid leave to support employee wellbeing.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Monitoring, the incumbent leads financial monitoring activities relating to the use and accountability of Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) funds by recipient institutions. The incumbent also provides support to the Associate Director of Financial Monitoring.
The incumbent may be asked to perform any or all of the activities described below. Activities may change from year to year depending on priorities.
The work may require some travelling. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full‑time position in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of two days per week at the CFI office in downtown Ottawa.
