Afterschool Student Supervisor (1–2 PM)

Job summary

An educational institution in Nova Scotia seeks a Student Supervisor to provide supervision for students before and after school, as well as during lunch and recess breaks. The ideal candidate will have current CPR and First Aid training, experience working with children or adolescents, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students. Starting wages are $18.38 per hour, and applications are due by January 6, 2026. This position is governed by the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU).

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain positive rapport with students.
• Current CPR and First Aid training required.
• Previous experience with children or adolescents is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision before and after school and during breaks.
• Familiarize with any specific behavior plans for students.
• Report any incidents or issues to the principal.
