A community organization in Ottawa is seeking an Afterschool Program Instructor to supervise and engage school-age children in a safe and enriching environment. Responsibilities include planning activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining communication with families. Ideal candidates have experience working with children and must be at least 18 years old. CPR/First Aid certification and a police check are required. The Afterschool Program Instructor is responsible for supervising and engaging school‑age children in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment. This role includes planning and leading activities, supporting academic work, fostering positive behavior, and maintaining strong communication with students, families, and staff.
Program runs 3 hours a day, starting as early as 3 pm Monday through Thursday and, during winter months, 1:30 pm to 5 pm on Friday.
Program runs Monday–Friday on regular school days and also when school is out by offering mini camps from 8:30 am to 4 pm.
Comparable pay to other after-school settings.
