Overview

Your Opportunity: The Claresholm Centre for Mental Health & Addictions is a 120 bed facility with an attached outpatient program (community support services) of 40 spaces. There are three primary inpatient units at the site including Concurrent Disorders, Active Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Extended Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Transitions Unit. Professionals at the Centre believe in each individual’s potential for development and success. Our team includes nurses, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, pharmacists, recreational and occupational therapists, dieticians and other mental health providers. Once a patient is ready for transition and re-entry into community living, follow-up support, outpatient programs and outreach services are coordinated for patients. These form a comprehensive treatment model with various service options for patients. As the successful candidate you will be expected to demonstrate: time management and prioritization skills in a rapidly changing environment; be self-directed and show initiative; strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; problem solving, decision making, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills; patient advocacy using a person-centered approach; and foster positive relationships within a team environment. Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
  • Additional Required Qualifications: Advanced/intermediate knowledge of computer technology and applications including but not limited to Connect Care, ePeople, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio, MS OneNote, MS PowerPoint are important.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Completion of an Administrative Professional diploma or equivalent with experience in a health care environment is preferred. Minimum 3 years\' experience in a mental health setting. Knowledge of Alberta Mental Health Act and the requirements of documentation. Suicide Risk Management training. Current (within the last two years) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
