Job summary

A regional health authority in Prince Albert is seeking a part-time Addictions Counsellor to restore and enhance the recovery of clients in an inpatient setting. You will provide individual and group counseling, assess client needs, and implement care plans. A Chemical Dependency diploma and a valid Class 5 driver's license are required. This position offers the opportunity to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment, helping clients achieve their recovery goals.

Job Summary

As a member of an interdisciplinary team and under the general direction of the Family Treatment Centre Manager and clinical supervisor the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking residential inpatient services for addiction by implementing services consistent with the current Provincial Clinical Model for Alcohol and Drug Services and the philosophy, objectives and standards set by the Family Treatment Centre. Responsibilities will include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counseling sessions to clients and their children in an inpatient setting. This position will be expected to assess individual/ family and group needs and implement plans to help clients reach their goals.
