A municipal government in the Peel Region seeks an Accounts Payable Coordinator to efficiently process payments and control expenses. The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma and significant experience in accounts payable. You will ensure accurate payment processing, compliance with purchasing procedures, and maintain vendor information. This hybrid role expects a minimum of two days on-site work while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, allowing for personal and professional balance.
Status: (1) Contract Full Time – Up to 4 months
Salary Range: $61,368 - $76,710 per annum
Hiring Range: $61,368 - $69,039 per annum

Corporate Finance is a division of Finance, committed to maximizing the value of financial planning with a fixed control on long term financial strategic viewpoints and execution for the Region of Peel.
There are six service groups within Corporate Finance: Financial Policy and Development Financing, Accounting Services, Loss Management and Insurance Services, Financial Systems Development Support, Peel Housing Corporation Finance and Treasury Services.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Coordinator plays an important role within the Corporate Finance team. In this role your impact will be felt as you efficiently and accurately process payments and control expenses.

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in‑person connection. A minimum of two days per week on site is expected, with additional in‑person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in‑person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
It is important to note that your off‑site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we’re compliant with all regulations and policies.
