Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join our team at a fast-paced lumber distribution and remanufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be involved in general accounts payable, accounts receivable and other tasks to support the accounting processes. This role requires strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Entering general payables invoices and monitoring payment due dates.
    • Entering the invoices for payable to the various trucking companies and maintaining the accrual process of these.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Invoicing sales to customers on a daily basis and involvement in the paperwork flow.
    • Performing credit checks on new customers and completing reference checks as required for our customers.
    • Involved in the collections process.
    • Sending out customer invoices via email, edi or other systems.
    • Other duties will be assigned as needed and based on the candidate’s capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of working in a full-cycle accounting environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and basic computer use.
