Reporting to the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Manager, the 4th Class Engineer troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs facility infrastructure equipment and carries out maintenance and repair work as directed by the Chief or their designate. This position is responsible for all building operations and maintenance aspects of the facility infrastructure, and the operation and monitoring of the boiler and all associated systems and equipment following the Nova Scotia Boiler & Pressure Equipment Regulations. The position may be required to complete general maintenance tasks throughout the facility and temporarily perform duties of a higher-class Power engineer license to ensure coverage. Travel within the zone or other zones as needed. Other duties as required.
