A community health network in Oshawa is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide essential pharmacy services, particularly for oncology patients. The DRCC Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy services to oncology patients including: preparing safe and accurate sterile antineoplastic drug doses; preparing other dosage forms for use in the treatment of oncology patients; dispensing clinical trial medications as appropriate and dispensing outpatient prescriptions through the retail pharmacy service; assisting in the acquisition of drugs for the chemotherapy pharmacy satellite and retail pharmacy including maintaining adequate stock levels and conducting inventory, assisting patients in getting medication coverage and accessing compassionate drugs; other duties as assigned.
