We are a professional services firm specializing in software engineering and cloud solutions, including technical consulting, programming, QA, DevOps, application development, UX, product, and project management.

Metal Toad operates fully remotely, allowing team members to work from home. For this position, the candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST).

We are currently seeking contractors residing in Brazil for this role. Compensation will be paid in Brazilian Reais (R$), in accordance with local currency laws. Due to legal restrictions, we cannot sponsor visas.

The React Software Engineer at Metal Toad builds high-performing, scalable enterprise applications. You will join a talented team working on mission-critical projects.

• Provide estimates based on requirements, wireframes, and designs.

• Experience with or knowledge of:
• 3+ years of JavaScript experience.
• 2+ years with React or Next.js.
• REST API development and deployment.
• JSON modeling and usage.
• Relational data store querying and modeling.
• Package managers like npm or pip.
• Git source control.
• Experience or interest in TDD and/or BDD, aiming to improve test coverage.

• AWS certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Interest in Generative AI technologies.
