Sr. Manager, Policy, Advocacy & Government Affairs – Brazil
Reporting to the Director of Policy, Advocacy & Government Affairs – LATAM, the Sr. Manager will lead strategic public affairs initiatives and represent CSL Behring in Brazil, advancing policies that support patient access and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engagement with government officials, industry associations, and public affairs stakeholders in Brazil.
- Represent CSL and take a leading role in key industry associations, committees, and trade associations.
- Develop and execute business‑relevant policy updates and a comprehensive engagement plan to strengthen relationships with public affairs stakeholders.
- Partner with internal functions (Therapeutic Areas Commercial, Market Access, Communications, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Communications) to develop and execute joint strategies and corporate communications plans.
- Serve as the primary interface partner with patient advocacy groups, collaborating closely with Medical Affairs and Communications teams on patient group engagement and corporate communications programs in Brazil.
- Develop and lead the execution of the strategic plan to drive public affairs priorities that enable CSL’s business success and patient access to therapies in Brazil.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or professional degree in law, public health, international relations, political science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in healthcare policy, public affairs, or a comparable field.
- Portuguese native language and fluent English.
- Proven experience designing and leading efforts to build company profile and impact with key healthcare public affairs stakeholders at national and local levels.
- Experience working with both legislative and executive government representatives and other strategic public sector institutions.
- Experience collaborating with colleagues at multiple organizational levels to align and execute shared goals.
- Strong understanding of the workings of major government, public authorities, and healthcare industry associations.
- Experience partnering with patient groups to advance shared goals.
- Strong network of relationships with government officials, industry, patient advocacy, and other influential stakeholders in policy formulation.
- Preferred experience in biologics, plasma, or vaccine product industries.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex policy issues to senior business leaders.
- Results‑oriented with a growth mindset and a track record of designing and executing effective policy and advocacy strategies.
