Your Mission
The Snowflake Developer / Data Modeler is a key member of our data engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. This role focuses on building high-performance SQL-based transformations, robust data pipelines, and well-structured data models that enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL performance optimization, data modeling, and cloud-based ETL/ELT tools, combined with strong analytical and collaboration skills..

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Snowflake data pipelines using native capabilities such as Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and Dynamic Tables.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations, views, stored procedures, and UDFs to support analytical and operational workloads.
• Design and implement robust data models (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas, and normalized models) aligned with business and analytics requirements.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources using cloud-based ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, Airflow).
• Apply advanced performance optimization techniques including query tuning, warehouse sizing, clustering strategies, partition pruning, and cost optimization.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, proactively identifying and resolving performance or data quality issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, BI teams, data scientists, and source system owners to translate data requirements into scalable Snowflake solutions.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and access control, including RBAC, data masking, and row-level security.
• Document data models, pipelines, and technical processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with Snowflake features and cloud data platform trends, recommending improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing, with strong hands-on experience on Snowflake.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL development and performance tuning in large-scale data environments.
• Strong expertise in data modeling for analytical and reporting use cases.
• Hands-on experience building Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and automated pipelines.
• Proficiency with at least one cloud-based ETL/ELT tool (dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Informatica, Talend, Airflow, etc.).
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud storage services (S3, ADLS, GCS).
• Strong understanding of data validation, data quality frameworks, and reconciliation techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control for data pipelines and SQL code.
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance best practices.
• Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
