We are searching for a senior full stack engineer who is passionate about all things data, from polishing data under the hood to visualizing complex data sets in mind blowing ways. You will help build our next generation of data analytics and visualization tools to help insurance companies glean actionable insights into their operational performance. You are an enthusiastic engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software with a great team and improving the customer experience for all of our customers who use our products every day. You have a fine attention to detail and love visualizing data in all forms. You can quickly build new features in an agile environment. You are a self-starter and able to perform with minimal supervision while working alongside intelligent colleagues who have checked their egos at the door in a team environment, communicating effectively with everyone. We’ve built a strong culture, and we’re looking for engineers who can help us maintain it.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the design and development of performant, scalable, and unified applications for Guidewire Predict, setting technical direction and writing production code that inspires your peers.

  • Collaborate closely with product management and user experience teams to deliver highly usable, insightful features that address real customer needs.

  • Champion innovative software development methodologies across both front-end and server-side, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Mentor and guide team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

  • Drive the adoption of AI, cloud, and data platform capabilities, ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value and efficiency for customers.

  • Deliver quantified business outcomes by consistently shipping high-quality, on-scope products that support Guidewire’s strategic priorities.

  • Build trust through transparent communication, proactive problem-solving, and reliable execution.

What you’ll bring

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • 8+ years’ experience in role developing browser-based interactive web applications.

  • Proficient with JavaScript and its standards along with MVC frameworks like React or Angular.

  • Expertise with .Net (C#) or other Object Oriented Languages.

  • Expertise with HTML5 and CSS3, including frameworks similar to Bootstrap or Material.

  • Experience with AWS (S3, SQS, Redshift), Kubernetes, Docker.

  • Experience with Python.

  • In depth knowledge of databases, SQL, and NoSQL, particularly SQL Server and MongoDB.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as TeamCity.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and data-driven product development.

  • Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
