What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Analyze, audit, reconcile, and resolve payroll processing and employee payroll issues
• Ensure compliance with company policy, GAAP, and applicable regulations in payroll reporting and payments
• Investigate and resolve tax, withholding, and wage/hour issues for payroll processing
• Prepare and submit quarterly and yearly Federal and State Tax Returns
• Improve and streamline payroll processes while mentoring less experienced staff

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or professional experience in payroll or accounting
• Strong understanding of accruals, debits, and credits
• Experience with at least one payroll system
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• In-depth understanding of the end-to-end payroll cycle and its translation to general accounting systems
• Experience with databases and familiarity with queries
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail
• Previous experience in a payroll analyst role or similar position
• Knowledge of financial systems and their applications in payroll processing
