The Link Exchange team collects and normalizes telemetry data from a wide variety of sources, including many different device types, Computer‑Aided Dispatch (CAD), and other Public Safety systems. This information is then intelligently consolidated and supplied to the end user, providing crucial insights for situational awareness.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. You will be a key driver in designing, developing, and maintaining our organization’s core products and systems. This role requires a strong full-stack background, blending deep backend expertise in Java with modern frontend capabilities (React/Angular) to build highly scalable, high‑availability applications.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Full-Stack Development: Design, build, test, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions using Java (J2EE, Spring) on the backend and React or Angular on the frontend.
• System Architecture: Actively participate in architectural decisions and API design, ensuring solutions meet organizational needs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Technical Leadership: Develop innovative solutions, champion software engineering best practices (design patterns, clean code), and mentor other engineers.
• System Integration: Perform seamless integration of software and hardware components to maintain throughput and program consistency.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Contribute to and maintain build and release pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) to improve development velocity and reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams (product, design, QA) within an Agile development methodology.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical structures and user documentation.

Basic Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of building highly scalable and available systems.
• Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and the Spring framework.
• Frontend Expertise: Hands‑on experience building modern, data‑driven frontend applications with React or Angular.
• Core CS Fundamentals: Deep understanding of Object‑Oriented Concepts, Data Structures, and API design (REST, SOA).
• Web Technologies: Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and internet protocols.
• Agile Experience: Proven experience working effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Communication: Excellent cross‑functional communication skills with advanced English proficiency (written, spoken, and reading).

Nice‑to‑Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments, especially Azure (AWS or GCP also valuable).
• Cloud Databases: Experience with cloud‑native databases like Azure Cosmos DB or DynamoDB.
• DevOps: Practical experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools.
• Real‑time Tech: Knowledge of WebSockets or Server‑Side Events (SSE).
• Modern Frontend: Familiarity with Vue.js and SASS.
