Job Description

We are looking for motivated, teamwork oriented, independent minded Engineers and IT Professionals that have experience with server-class setups, Linux and virtualization to support our customers, field service technicians, and support personnel with product issues, questions, set-ups, troubleshooting and warranties. You will report to the hiring Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers or field personnel in the field of configuration and troubleshooting of Dell EMC Servers, VMware virtualization (vSphere), Cybersecurity (Threat Detection and Secure Remote Access), Industrial Data Centers and other Industrial Networks by phone, chat, or email.
  • Manage all customer interactions including setting expectations, capturing the issue/resolution/steps taken to troubleshoot within Service Ticket notes, following the Knowledge-Centered Support (KCS) process, and timely follow-up with customers.
  • Interact with and support additional core areas of Automation, including controllers, operator interfaces, and networks.
  • Update and author Technical Notes and other documentation with solutions to commonly experienced problems, installation practices that create problems, and how-to guides to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance.
The Essentials — You Will Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related Information Technology field.
  • Experience with servers, networking, Linux OS, and VMware vSphere.
  • Cybersecurity applications knowledge.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN network technologies.
  • Good verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure work situations when interacting with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to work weekends and in different shifts.
The Preferred — You Might Also Have
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position/field.
  • Practical knowledge with virtualization technology (VMware vSphere) or VMware certification (VCA/VCN).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016 in practice (AD, DHCP, DNS, RDP, etc.).
  • Claroty Threat Detect Services and Secure Remote Access experience.
  • CCNA/CCNA Security / CCNP / CCENT certification or Cisco IOS CLI experience.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting managed Ethernet switches and routers.
  • Knowledge of Industrial networks through EtherNet/IP.
  • Experience with OT technologies.
