What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Identify and close new business opportunities to achieve assigned net revenue goals
- Develop and execute a sales plan to promote Odyssey's logistics services
- Maintain a qualified sales pipeline and build relationships with potential and existing clients
- Navigate complex buying committees and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve client objections and drive sales success
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics sales and relationship management
- Proven track record of success in sales roles within the logistics or supply chain industry
- Experience with freight management opportunities and TMS technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong analytical capabilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- 10+ years of multi-modal experience in TL, LTL, partial truckload, and expedite
- Ability to think outside the box and create innovative solutions for clients
- Experience in complex contract negotiations with clients and legal counsel
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com, PowerPoint, Excel, and other MS Office products
- Ability to travel as necessary for business needs
