Aware, a global leader in biometric identification software products, solutions, and services, is seeking a Sales Manager for our LATAM Civil & Criminal Identity business unit. Reporting to the VP of LATAM, this role is responsible for the development, planning, management, and execution of sales activities for two industry‑leading products in this sector. The Sales Manager will develop deep expertise in these products to clearly articulate their value propositions and to deliver and / or support technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers and partners.
Essential Job Functions
- Execute sales plans with the objective of exceeding revenue, gross margin, and other key financial performance metrics.
- and qualify leads, converting them into well‑defined sales opportunities.
- Effectively manage and follow up on market‑qualified leads to drive pipeline growth.
- Establish and maintain key partnerships within the territory to expand market presence and drive incremental revenue.
- Support targeted law enforcement accounts within the territory in alignment with Public Sector sales strategies and plans.
- Support trade shows and industry events to develop new opportunities and revenue.
- Utilize CRM and other sales tools to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records on customer interactions, activities, forecasts, and sales opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience selling software solutions to law enforcement agencies or public sector agencies.
- Deep understanding of the LATAM public safety ecosystem, including procurement processes, regulatory environments, budget cycles, and political / cultural nuances.
- Familiarity with the political, cultural, and operational nuances of selling to law enforcement and public‑sector institutions across the region.
- Proven experience developing and closing business in some of the following countries: Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina, with a clear understanding of local decision‑making structures, procurement models, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to adapt sales strategies to country‑specific market conditions while maintaining regional alignment.
- Direct experience selling, implementing, or supporting automated biometric identification systems (ABIS), facial recognition, fingerprint, or multimodal biometric solutions in public safety or criminal investigation contexts. This includes understanding investigative workflows, evidentiary requirements, system accuracy considerations, and the ethical and regulatory implications of biometric technologies.
- Existing network of integrators, system vendors, consultants, and channel partners operating in the public safety and law enforcement space is highly desirable.
- Experience working through partners to position, bid, and deliver complex solutions, as well as the ability to activate and manage partner relationships to drive pipeline and revenue.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand unique customer requirements and learn new technologies.
- Understanding of biometric technologies and underlying data science.
- Proven ability to combine sales acumen with technical knowledge to deliver effective presentations and demonstrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and Portuguese.
