Overview
The Program Manager will support the Talent Consultant in delivering a consistent learning service across the Corporate Functions. The role focuses on maximizing the use of enterprise learning programmes and resources, sourcing specialist development where required, and playing a key role in re‑setting the learning strategy as the organization transitions to a skills‑based development approach.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maximizing Use of Enterprise L&D Content
- Partner with the Talent Consultant and functional representatives to support the development of cross‑functional learning priorities.
- Update SharePoint learning portals with the latest information on the enterprise offer.
- Measure learning consumption and provide regular reporting to the Corporate Functions Talent Consultant and each function's learning representative.
- Collaborate with functional learning representatives to increase engagement with learning in a measurable way.
- Learning Programmes
- When learning needs cannot be fulfilled by existing enterprise resources, help functions access specialist development.
- Provide guidance on working with vendors or specialist technical training institutes.
- Develop training where necessary and when scope allows.
- Skills‑Based Organization & Innovation
- Contribute to re‑shaping how learning is delivered across functions as the organization shifts to a skills‑based strategy.
- Identify thematic development patterns and collaborate with the Talent Consultant to address cross‑functional development needs.
- Introduce learning agents where appropriate and build/implement agents to enhance the learner experience and accelerate learning delivery.
- Process Improvement
- Assess existing Corporate Functions L&D processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and producing new processes and self‑help guides.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Program Planning and Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans aligned to organizational needs for cross‑functional L&D support.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including learning designers, delivery specialists, administrators, and subject matter experts—to ensure successful programme execution.
- Monitor and track programme progress, adjusting plans as needed to meet targets.
- Stakeholder Management
- Provide updates and ensure alignment with the Corporate Functions Learning Programme Strategy.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for programme‑related inquiries from the Talent Consultant.
- Risk Management
- Identify risks related to implementing the cross‑functions learning support model and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all L&D programme deliverables meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to strengthen programme performance and outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support decision‑making.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on programme status, outcomes, and improvement opportunities.
- Benchmarking and External Insights
- Bring external insights and recommendations to strengthen the effectiveness and innovation of L&D initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background
- Advanced degrees or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PgMP) or L&D (e.g., CPLP) are preferred.
- Experience
- Proven experience in programme or project management with a track record of delivering complex L&D projects successfully.
- Experience working in cross‑functional teams and within a matrixed organization.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management software and L&D tools (e.g., LMS platforms, authoring tools such as Articulate).
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and make evidence‑based decisions.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
