You will be working as Market Development Manager Data Centers LATAM, will be part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power division based in Brazil.


In this role you will be responsible to support the regional focused Market Development team and LSU (Local sales Units) team(s) by focusing on defining and implementing marketing and sales strategies specifically aimed at developing market demand for ABB power protection solutions specifically in the data center space.


This position reports to :
Global Sales Manager - Power Protection


Your responsibilities :


  • Contributes to local Business Unit / Product Group strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of new markets, segments and / or product solutions.

  • Analyzes customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits as well as white spot analysis and connected strategies to penetrate the market.

  • Develops and implements business strategies for newly defined areas in alignment with the Business Unit / Product Group strategy.

  • Provides market intelligence analyses in support of identification and development of new markets, segments, or solutions.

  • Aiding the regional sales organization in determining the best solutions, and providing technical support, product presentations and training.

  • Develop throughout the region best contacts and relationships with leading design & engineering companies, as well as system integrators, active in the data center space.

  • Collaborates with all related internal contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of the commercial strategy.

  • Coordinates product marketing launch development plans and ensures efficient and effective execution together with the regional sales teams.

  • Participates in planning and implementation of customer events and trade shows.

  • Ensures budget (volumes) and profitable growth targets are achieved in the respective countries and for all assigned Product Groups.

  • Ensures achievement of targets on orders, pricing development, Net Promoter Score (NPS), etc.


Your background :


  • Bachelor's degree - Engineering and / or electrical trade-based education with additional learning and / or experience in technical sales and business development including export and cross border business considerations.

  • Passion for business growth and problem solving.

  • 10+ years' experience in providing solutions and knowledge towards data center industry professionals.

  • IT / computer literate as required for typical technical business role in present times.

  • Fluency in English language is mandatory.
