Summary of Position and Objectives

The Release Manager role will be responsible for deploying builds across the environment, on-boarding new environment, handling transversal projects and creating release management related documents and sharing release plan with the stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
• Facilitate release activities across all releases, mainly with ensuring quality, timely deployments across environments
• Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
• Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews with stakeholders
• Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Participate in CAB meetings to present Production changes (RFCs)
• Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
• Weekly Release Reporting with Program release manager
• Own and continually improve the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve processes, able to recommend continuous improvements viz: automation
• Comfortable in interacting with people across hierarchical levels for smooth project execution. Enjoys managing complex projects involving challenges

Qualifications and Experience Required

• English Language is mandatory to collaborate in a global environment, including writing, speaking and presenting
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipelines
• Good understanding of cloud deployment, preferably Azure and Agile practice
• Knowledge on Deployment tool like Octopus
• Knowledge on MS Project, Excel-Macros
• Document Management for adhere to Audit Compliance process is an added advantage
• 4 to 5 years of relevant release and deployment management experience
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams towards task completion
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
• Strong in troubleshooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
