Overview

Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. This key part of our business ensures we fulfil and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers get their items on time. As an Inbound Operations Manager, you’ll ensure your area runs smoothly to meet its goals. You will lead a team that helps keep operations safe, efficient, and high quality while taking on a number of projects across our network to drive productivity.

Key responsibilities
  • Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyze and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level
  • Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility
  • Analyze performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence
  • Manage Inbound operations, including receive, stow, transfer-in and ISS processes
  • Lead and develop a large team of area managers, operations leads and associates (100+ employees) across multiple shifts
  • Drive operational excellence through KPI management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control measures
  • Optimize resource allocation and labor planning
  • Meet productivity targets while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and resolve issues
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Employee and performance management experience
  • Advanced English skills
  • Data-driven decision making skills
