What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing inquiries and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Ensure company policies are effectively communicated and adhered to, overseeing compliance issues
- Assist with payroll accuracy, benefits enrollment, and employee-related inquiries
- Lead initiatives that enhance employee experience, recognition, and engagement
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR operations, employee relations, or a similar role
- Experience working with unionized employee populations and understanding of collective bargaining agreements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working with unions is a plus
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible in adapting to changing needs
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
