Description

Our team is seeking a Multi‑Site WHS (Workplace, Health & Safety) Manager who will support the Customer Fulfillment operations in Brazil.

This role is responsible for providing technical support, tactical execution, and delivering a strategy for future expansion in an ambiguous, fast‑paced environment.

You will collaborate with the Customer Fulfillment operations team and the Global WHS team to execute company procedures and ensure compliance with all applicable country‑wide and worldwide regulations.

Utilizing risk assessments and compliance evaluations, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize risk and implement best practices.

You must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise, and consistent messages both verbally and in writing.

You must possess proficiency in health and safety regulatory knowledge, demonstrating this expertise when working with teams throughout the Brazil operations.

You should thrive and deliver a strategy for execution across multiple sites in a fast‑paced environment.

General Responsibilities
  • Ensure baseline governance processes and risk assessments are in place, created, regularly reviewed, and owned by individual site leaders.
  • Provide high levels of support and guidance to leadership teams to ensure the operating model is delivered for customers with a lean, adaptable WHS program.
  • Partner with site leaders to ensure they execute safety requirements and track action data entry and completion.
  • Ensure Ops teams can run their safety toolkit process to maintain minimum standards, engage associates, and verify compliance.
  • Provide advice and guidance on environmental, health and safety matters to all stakeholders within your area of responsibility.
  • Support business change through effective change‑management processes within the fast‑paced environment.
  • Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
  • Perform EHS data analysis and establish improvement plans.

Manage, guide and coach site WHS teams.

Create and facilitate regulatory training for site leadership (via onsite training, KNET, webinars).

Support sites in building and maintaining a safety culture, including deployment and operation of the safety toolkit.

Partner with operation teams on assessing the impact of new processes on safety and the environment.

Assess Brazil operations to ensure both Amazon and local country WHS legal compliance.

Build strong working relationships with internal peers and partners, and maintain and improve communication with all parties.

Maintain high ethical standards, handling highly confidential and sensitive information with excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.

Ensure EHS record‑keeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business EHS initiatives.

Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified and potential risks and prevent injury.

Partner with corporate and other regional field WHS personnel to leverage global best practices.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience leading multiple direct reports or multiple sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
  • Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees a of at least 250 people.
