Autoliv, the global leader in automotive safety, is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead our Brazil procurement function.
Sourcing Strategy: Define and execute category strategies (direct & indirect), experience in leading global and local sourcing, ensure supply continuity, dual sourcing where needed, and deliver savings while safeguarding quality, delivery and cash (payment terms, inventory).
Supplier Partnership Development: Build high-performing supplier networks; drive VAVE, technical negotiations.
Financial Performance: Productivities year-over-year, inflation / economics and raw material negotiations, headwinds mitigation.
Risk Management: Resourcing, capacity, geo & compliance.
Program & Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Quality, Logistics, Finance and Legal to source new programs on time (APQP / PPAP readiness), support launches, and resolve constraints quickly.
Performance & Governance: Lead the purchasing team with clear KPIs; enforce ethical standards and alignment with IATF / ESG and corporate policies; define local and enforce compliance to global corporate processes.
10+ years in OEM / Tier-1 automotive purchasing, with proven team leadership and results in complex, high-volume operations.
Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, or related areas); MBA is a plus.
Mastery in negotiations, category management, cost modeling, and supplier performance management (APQP / PPAP familiarity).
Partner with all functions to look for the best source solution considering Total Cost scenario, while driving high Quality Standards, associated to Stable and Predictable Deliveries.
Fluent English: Spanish is a plus.
