We are looking for a DC OSS Analyst - Unix / Linux, on a CLT contract, on-site, Mon-Sun(12x36), in the city of Jeceaba / Minas Gerais.

In this role you must have:

Responsibilities

• Experience in Datacenter On-Premises with medium/low platform - Unix / Intel platform - HCI Dell VXRail and Standard 3 layer topology - Application / Processing / Storage.
• Certified on MS Windows Datacenter and Windows Server OS.
• Experience on Linux RedHat / Suse, VMware for Server Virtualization, Backup Veeam / CommVault.
• Ability to clarify doubts and guide users regarding the use, availability, installation and configuration of software, applications, information systems (marketed and internally developed), equipment, standards and procedures in the customer environment.
• Identify, collect evidences and immediately report to Microsoft / Customer support for critical problems with significant impacts on the customer environment, exceptional situations and other situations beyond control.
• Perform analysis of hardware requirements for software installation.
• Define tasks for health checks, operations, create/delete users, virtual machines, virtual network, reallocate instances as needed, monitor infra, deploy new instances, patches.
• Test new features and provide analysis for compatibility among applications and Windows / Linux for different versions.
• Execute upgrade/downgrade/reinstallations of OS (Windows / Linux).
• Collaborate in asset management activities at customer locations where asset technicians are not allocated, when Asset Management service is unavailable or required by supervision.
• Create runbooks and maintain up-to-date documentation for DC Windows / Linux aspects.
• Validate patches to be applied and define best-effort activities for EOL OS environments.
• Manage infra using vCenter and related tools.
• Identify and immediately report to the Level 2 Service Supervisor critical problems with significant impacts on the customer environment, exceptional situations and other situations beyond control.
• Perform analysis of hardware requirements for software installation.
• Execute tasks for health checks, operation, create/delete users, virtual machines, virtual network, reallocate instances as needed, monitor infra, deploy new instances, patches.
• Test new features and provide analysis for compatibility among applications and Windows / Linux for different versions.
• Execute upgrade/downgrade/reinstall of OS versions as required.
• Collaborate in asset management activities at customer locations where asset technicians are not allocated, when Asset Management service is not available or required by supervision.

Key responsibilities

Case resolutions, Server Build Checklist validation, Server Build Images / OS binary repository management, Server Hardening and release to production, virtualization, Server Active Directory / LDAP integration, agent installation, server patching, log analysis and problem identification, recover corrupted file systems / inode issues, firmware upgrades, hardware refresh/replacement planning, server health checks, performance monitoring, critical resource alerts and monitoring (CPU / memory / disk utilization), account/group creation and password resets, IT inventory management, documentation & reporting, ticket distribution, scaling and resolution, server decommissioning and commissioning. Administration of Linux operating systems and distributions (RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu, etc.). Focused on server environments and routine operations to keep applications available and performing.
