A global agricultural technology leader in Canoas is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership and innovate data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, including GCP and Databricks, and will be responsible for maintaining data pipelines and ensuring data quality. This role offers a hybrid work model and a commitment to inclusivity and diverse perspectives within the team.

Qualificações

  • 5-7+ years in data engineering with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Proven experience with GCP and Databricks; strong proficiency in Spark, Python, and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, architecture, and governance principles.

Responsabilidades

Your Impact

Technical Leadership: Act as the technical lead for external engineering teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight; ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and data governance.

Solution Architecture & Innovation: Collaborate with architects to design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data solutions; evaluate and introduce new technologies and frameworks to improve performance and reliability.

Data Engineering Excellence: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and systems on Databricks, GCP, and AWS; implement and manage data storage solutions using Unity Catalog, Databricks Delta Tables, and ZeroETL; optimize Spark, Python, and SQL scripts for large-scale data processing.

Data Quality & Governance: Apply the Data as a Product approach to ensure data quality, usability, and compliance; define and enforce data validation, monitoring, and observability standards.

Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data enablement projects on time and within scope; contribute to agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.

Your Experience and Qualifications

Education & Experience: bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; 5-7+ years in data engineering with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.

Technical Expertise: Proven experience with GCP and Databricks; strong proficiency in Spark, Python, and SQL for data processing. Experience in AWS is a plus.

Data & Governance: Solid understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance principles.

DevOps & Agile: Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices, GitHub, Azure DevOps; familiarity with Scrum methodologies and agile delivery.

Leadership & Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms, attention to detail, clear communication of complex concepts, and strong leadership with stakeholder management skills.
