You will build and enhance backend features for large-scale user-facing products, collaborating with various teams to ensure comprehensive functionality. The ideal candidate has over 3 years of backend experience, solid Java skills, and a good grasp of Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark. Fluency in English is required.

About the role

Salary : $ 2200 USD monthly (FTE)

We’re looking for a Data Engineer with backend experience to join a high-impact engineering team building large-scale user-facing products.

What You’ll Do

• Build and enhance backend features end to end : requirements, implementation, automated testing, A / B testing, and launch validation.
• Collaborate with product, design, and client teams to deliver complete functionality.
• Develop reliable, maintainable backend components used by other engineers.
• Work on large-scale, distributed, and data-intensive systems.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Java backend skills (REST APIs, caching, storage, data processing).
• Hands-on Big Data experience : Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce (active migration from MR → Spark).
• Experience in consumer apps, social media, or large-scale platforms (not financial systems).
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (fluent required) and collaborate effectively across global teams.
