Job Purpose
Content Quality Assurance Analyst/Content Quality Specialist contributes toward ensuring that Carnegie delivers excellence in its key client deliverables. This includes the thorough and timely review of an array of print and digital pieces across Carnegie’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company’s best practices and client-provided standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance
- Review copy and design content of all electronic and print materials for spelling, grammatical, and stylistic accuracy and consistency, as well as make detailed comparisons of fonts, colors, images, alignment, and textual content
- Utilize “best practices” guidelines and ensure all materials adhere to client-provided style guides
- Functionality Testing
- Test functionality of electronic materials from an end-user perspective, clicking links in emails and completing online forms and applications to ensure all elements work as intended on both desktop and mobile devices and in multiple email clients
- Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Make suggestions to improve processes and workflows, and contribute to the company’s high standards for all client-facing materials
- Collaborate on improvements to creative content with copy and design team members, as needed
- Help to improve quality assurance processes and checklists
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Multi-talented – visually and linguistically – with the ability to “see” creative content and design from a variety of perspectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience proofing/reviewing and/or creating content and design components of electronic and print materials is a plus
- Working knowledge of graphic design principles and terminology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail/consistency, with a keen eye for spotting errors
- Ability to multitask and manage aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as to collaborate with a team
- Great appreciation for end-user perception and experience
- Due to the remote environment, effective communication and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Physical requirement: Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Credentials and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communication, design production, technical support or similar
- Experience in college admissions is a plus
- Basic knowledge of applicable software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Google Documents, and Apple OS
