Overview :

As a Commercial Manager, you will support the growth of SITA Messaging Business in the AMERICAS Geography (AMER GEO).

In this role, you will work closely with the Sales organization, including Account Managers, Service Managers, Contracts, and Pricing as well as support existing customers to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

As the interface between the Messaging Business Unit and Sales Organization, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the messaging business by conducting market analysis, creating customer profiles, and developing commercial and pricing strategies to generate new business and optimize renewals.

Your ultimate goal is to help the BU and GEO achieve their revenue and margin objectives by providing valuable market and customer feedback to the Messaging Business Unit product team.

What you will do :
  • Supporting AMER Geography in managing and generating Messaging Business.
  • Set account / opportunity commercial strategy and competitive positioning in collaboration with the account and bid managers as well as GEO commercial / financial leadership.
  • Partner with SITA's solution / technical community to align commercial aspects with technical solutions / limitations.
  • Conduct weekly market analysis (stakeholders, market segments, competition, technology evolution), generate customer profiles, and work closely with the Sales organization.
  • Assist Account teams in qualifying customer requirements and working with technical sales
  • Track and report key customer statistics, model customers patterns, and provide input into AMER Messaging business plan.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to qualify new customers and new market requirements and provide the most appropriate solution.
  • Work with other regions on the analysis of SITA Messaging with a focus on the AMER region.
  • Provide financial modeling support, reporting, analysis of existing messaging traffic, risk analysis, and recommendation of winning traffic back from competition.
  • Work closely with the AMER Commercial team, Central team, and Account Manager for Messaging Business Development, Market trends, requirements qualification, and commercial / pricing recommendations.
Qualifications : _Who you are : _
  • 6+ years of experience in business management, sales, business intelligence, or a combination of these fields preferably in a multinational company.
  • 4+ years of experience in similar roles that require commercial and statistical modeling.
  • Advanced knowledge of business analytics and business intelligence based on data mining is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI and other similar tools (database extract and understanding of SAP BusinessObjects BI tool is a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Data Science, Business Analytics / Quantitative Analysis, or an equivalent field (other degrees acceptable with appropriate experience).
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (mastery of Excel pivot tables and basic Excel macro coding is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
  • Commercial acumen and aptitude to develop value propositions.
  • Fluent in English, with other languages being desirable( spanish and portuguese).
  • Experience with Kibana and databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Air Transport Industry and the messaging standards (IATA Type B, Type X, EDIFACT) is a plus
