About the role
The CoM Supplier Quality Auditor Specialist is responsible for conducting supplier and Co-Manufacturer audits across a diverse range of products sourced globally. The role focuses on our highest risk materials and coaching/shadowing Supplier Quality auditors. Audits verify adherence to BC's Food Safety and Quality standards. The role also facilitates the closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and oversees Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to maintain or elevate supplier quality. The position supports regions during supplier quality issues.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct Audits: Execute supplier audits, especially for high-risk and new approvals across global supplier networks. Follow-up audits conducted by third-party auditors. Involved in more complex audits (higher-risk raw materials) or audits covering a broader scope (competitors, customers).
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed audit reports communicating findings and outcomes to suppliers and BC's internal supplier quality team. Engage in ongoing dialogue with suppliers to close audit gaps through corrective actions.
- Analysis and Improvement: Analyze trends from supplier audits to identify areas for strengthening BC's supplier quality requirements. Collaborate with Sourcing and R&D to prioritize audits that align with key business initiatives.
- Support Initiatives: Actively contribute to projects and activities aimed at enhancing supplier performance and reducing NCRs. Assist the Regional Supply Chain Performance Management & Supplier Improvement Manager in various improvement endeavors.
- Manages and guides GSQ Auditors in conducting audits including third-party auditors and shadowing.
- Takes on a leadership role in planning, executing and reporting audit activities, and supporting the regions during supplier quality issues.

About you
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science / Bio Science / Chemistry or Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of experience in Quality and Food Safety.
- 5+ years Quality Assurance and Food Safety auditing experience in Food, Pharmaceutical, or Feed environments.
- Advanced English and Spanish are mandatory.
- GFSI certification schemes requirements.
- HACCP and prerequisite programs.
- FSMA, GMPs, and Food Safety & Quality requirements.
- Auditing skills – leading supplier audits, assessing imminent risks and making decisions. Formal training and/or experience with implementation (preferred Lead Auditor and/or Food Safety Auditor certification).
- Knowledge of lethality processes such as roasting, pasteurization, and sterilization is a plus.
- Ability to write audit reports; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Independent leadership profile with decision-making capability.
- Travel required (approximately 50-60% travel).
