Shift Availability: Day (6 am‑2 pm), Evening (2 pm‑10 pm), Night (10 pm‑6 am).
Summary
Our CNAs provide individualized and quality resident care under the direction of our Nursing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide daily direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing and grooming; food consumption; transferring and ambulating; create a positive home‑like environment, build trust, offer emotional support, work with residents’ families, and communicate and listen actively.
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition or other relevant matters to the Charge Nurse; assist with health needs by taking vital signs and related measurements, maintain documentation, support nurses during treatments, medical procedures, and emergencies, record accurate information, and respond to call lights or emergency alarms in a timely manner.
- Maintain employee and resident safety by following infection‑control practices, keeping the environment clean and safe, reporting safety problems immediately, performing procedures correctly, reporting injuries to the Charge Nurse, and participating in fire and disaster drills.
- Assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans for assigned residents, and report information and suggested approaches to the Charge Nurse.
- Carry out administrative functions such as prioritizing daily tasks, participating in staff meetings, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, attending continuing education, and applying knowledge to day‑to‑day duties.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from residents, regulators or community members; speak, understand and read English; possess excellent interpersonal skills, high energy and enthusiasm; communicate verbally and in writing; organize, document and implement detailed programs; stand, sit, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 75 lb or more, bend, climb, twist, walk, run, carry, use telephone, and work with medical equipment and ill persons.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One or more years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Meets state and federal requirements.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Successful completion of a nurse assistant training and competency evaluation program, including passing the certification exam.
