Software Engineer (Clojure) – LATAM

Clojure (primary), ClojureScript or other front‑end techs (React, JS frameworks), Clojure REPL, Idiomatic Clojure

What They’ll Do

• Build and maintain clean, well‑tested APIs in Clojure.
• Contribute to scalable, production‑grade systems in a lending platform.
• Participate actively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
• Take ownership of their work and mentor others when possible.
• Provide direct, constructive feedback on PRs.
• Leverage AI tools to increase productivity.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of total software engineering experience (does not need to be 5 years of Clojure experience)
• Practical, hands‑on Clojure experience (not just coursework; building in production environments)
• Strong grasp of functional programming concepts (Elixir, Scala, Haskell, or Lisp experience can be relevant if combined with applied Clojure exposure)
• English proficiency (can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read)
• Comfort with start‑up pace and culture; high sense of ownership and accountability
• Open communicator who values feedback and collaborative problem‑solving
• A genuine interest in working for a mission‑driven company helping reduce financial burdens for everyday people
