Job summary
A leading company in construction seeks an experienced storekeeper to oversee inventory management and materials operations. The role involves using CMMS for effective tracking and reporting while implementing best practices like 5S. Ideal candidates will possess a technical diploma and have a proven record in material management, ensuring smooth operation of storeroom processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a storekeeper.
- Familiarity with barcode systems is essential.
- Certification in material management or housekeeping preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee management of storeroom inventories.
- Track inventory, release stock reorders, and generate KPIs.
- Perform receiving activities and inspect incoming materials.

- Has primary authority and responsibility to oversee the management of storeroom inventories. He is the central point of contact for all material management activities including but not limited to moving materials, processing transactions in the CMMS and leading housekeeping activities.
- Should understand material management function, inventory management and parts distribution.
- Must operate the material management module of CMMS as well as common computer applications such as MS Outlook and basic MS Excel.
- He must come up with ideas for improving inventory operations including implementation of 5S and other material management best practices.
- He should keep track of inventory, release stock reorders, and generate reports and KPIs.
- Work closely with the maintenance team and procurement officer.
- Running inventory optimization models to identify overstock and understock conditions.
- Perform receiving activities, inspecting incoming materials, labelling and storage in specific locations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical certificate in any discipline.
- Certification in material management or housekeeping preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a storekeeper.
- Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
- Familiarity with barcode systems is essential.
