A manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi seeks a Machine Operator to manage rolling mill machines in a rebar manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, familiarity with machinery, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities include ensuring machine functionality, performing maintenance tasks, and adhering to safety protocols. Immediate supervisors will assign tasks as needed.
Operations of all machines related to rebar mill manufacturing.
Work closely in the rebar finishing area for smooth and efficient operation .
Ensure the functionality of each machine before starting the operation .
Performs task assigned by the immediate supervisors.
Report any machine abnormalities such as sound, current, tension, etc. to his superior or concerned department.
Perform clearing activities such as, short bar removal, shear cut ends removal and cutting of “flying” rebars.
Operate rolling mill machines to achieve the required specifications good rebar finished product.
Adhere to safety regulations for working with heavy machinery, including lockout / tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in safety training sessions, audits, and initiatives aimed at maintaining a safe work environment.
Report any issues with rolls or roll-related equipment to the production supervisors.
Assist in scheduling roll changes and maintenance activities to align with production needs.
Familiarity with computer usage for tracking roll usage and maintenance is a plus.
Minimum 1 year working experience / relevant experience, GCC experience is a plus
Certificate in Technical / Any vocational training courses or any related field
