Job summary
A prominent recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dubai. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with standards. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with CA or ACCA qualifications, is required. Candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and a strong grasp of financial reporting and internal controls.

Our client seeks a motivated and detail-orientedSenior Accountantto join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7years of relevant accounting experience. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all transactions are accurately documented.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to internal stakeholders and regulators as required.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and financial procedures.
- Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members and help foster their professional growth.
- Prepare and review journal entries and accruals in conformity with accounting standards.
- Support audits by preparing required documents and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS/ GAAP).
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and improve financial controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA or ACCA qualification is required.
- Minimum of 7years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (IFRS or GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
