Job summary
A local carpentry and decor firm in Dubai is seeking a Wooden Joinery Draftsman specializing in 2D design. The role involves creating detailed sketches of various wooden elements, including kitchen cabinets and doors. The ideal candidate should possess excellent material knowledge and a solid understanding of current design trends. Experience with 3D modeling and MS Office is also required. Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge about materials and sizes.
- Understanding of current trends in style for desirable new designs.
- Experience in the interior design or joinery industries.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed sketches and drawings of each element.
- Prepare cutting lists for production based on designs.
- Liaise with clients and manage design functions on fit-out projects.
Skills
- Fire & Non-Fire Rated Timber Door (Double, Folded, Sliding, Etc.)
- Wardrobe / Walk in Closet / Sliding Wardrobe
- Vanity Cabinet / Pantry / Laundry Cabinets
- Kitchen Cabinet / Show Kitchen / Island Kitchen
- Reception Counter, Wall Paneling / Cladding, Wooden Ceiling / Wood Stairs
- Creating detailed sketches drawings of Each Elements individually
- Drawings Should be reflects all details to make Cutting List for Production.
- Excellent Knowledge about Material, Sizes, Etc.
- Understanding of current trends in style so new designs will be desirable to clients.
- Knowledge about 3D Modeling, MS Office
- Knowledge in Interior Designing/Joinery/ Fit Out Industry
- Manage the design functions on Fit out projects as assigned including liaising with the clients and other departments.
