We are a leading supermarket chain with a strong presence in Abu Dhabi and are looking for an experienced Supermarket Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the supermarket industry and be able to source products at the best possible price while ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Identify new suppliers and products for our supermarkets
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible price and payment terms
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that the supermarket is well-stocked and meets customer demand
- Review purchase orders and ensure that all orders are fulfilled according to the agreed-upon terms
- Track and analyze sales trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and increased profitability
- Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of products
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and industry developments to ensure that the supermarket is offering competitive products and pricing
- Collaborate with the store management team to ensure that the supermarket meets customer needs and expectations
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing in the supermarket industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential
