The role requires 4-5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on negotiating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships. Job description

Extensive experience in local purchase of electrical goods i.e. lighting, wiring devices etc

Must have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point

Local knowledge of UAE traders / suppliers / vendors is essential

Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.

Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers

Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.

Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers.

Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.

Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.

Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Overseeing and managing the software systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.

Preparing procurement reports.

Stock ageing analysis & action plan to manage stocks below the agreed threshold value of the company

Ensure the Committed On-Time-Delivery requirements are consistently met.

REQUIREMENTS :

4-5 years of experience in purchasing products from various sources locally and internationally.

Proven experience managing supply chain operations / Procurements

Experience using procurement software and tools

In depth Knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing and negotiation terms.

Working knowledge and an excellent understanding of Stock management
