Job Description
- Identify and source suppliers for materials such as wood, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, lighting, furniture, and MEP-related items.
- Request quotations, evaluate bids, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) in line with project requirements and budget.
- Coordinate with the design, estimation, and production teams to verify material specifications and quantities.
- Monitor and track order deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials at site or factory.
- Maintain and update the procurement database, vendor list, and material logs.
- Ensure all procured items comply with quality standards and project specifications.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and recommend improvements or alternatives as needed.
- Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or non-conforming materials.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and new product innovations relevant to fit-out and joinery works.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of procurement experience in the interior fit-out or joinery industry (UAE experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, joinery components, and local/global suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and procurement/ERP software.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
